Charlie Barnett (born February 4, 1988 in Sarasota, Florida) is an American actor. He is known for his roles in Men in Black 3 (2012) and Private Romeo (2011). Barnett portrayed Peter Mills, a young new academy graduate who follows a long line of multi-generational firefighters, in NBC's drama Chicago Fire from 2012 till 2015.

Biography[]

Barnett was raised on a sailboat in Florida until he was seven. His mother is Swedish and a former Mormon, and his father is a boatbuilder from Minnesota. He discovered theater when he was six years old, and performed in many operas and musicals. Barnett is a graduate from Booker High School. He participated in the Carnegie Mellon Musical Theater Summer Program.

Barnett is also a graduate of the Julliard School drama program, class of 2010. He enjoys sailing and classic cars. While pursuing his career, Barnett has lived in New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago.

On the big screen, Barnett has a supporting role in Men in Black 3 with Will Smith and Josh Brolin. Other features include Gayby, which premiered this year at the South by Southwest Film Festival, The Happy Sad, a tangled love story, and Private Romeo, a modern take on Romeo and Juliet.

On television, he has guest-starred on NBC's "Law & Order: SVU" and "Law & Order: CI". Barnett portrayed Peter Mills, a young new academy graduate who follows a long line of multi-generational firefighters, in NBC's drama Chicago Fire from 2012 till 2015.
